This beach, whose name seems to recall an old bathing tradition, has in reality developed a lot with Elba's recent tourism boom. Today Bagnaia has a lot facilities and tourist services.
It is worthwhile stopping at this pretty bay, and on its good sized beach of pebbles and small stones, from here there is a spectacular view of Portoferraio and frequent cooling breezes in summer.
