There is a fine view of Portoferraio and its gulf, with in the distance Mount Capanne completing the picture. The beach is used by guests from the nearby campsite and from the majestic Villa Ottone hotel, which overlooks the bay. The southern end is quieter.
Near the beach, which is of small and middle sized pebbles and sand, are the remains of two old limestone furnaces, where once the stones from the nearby limestone quarry were baked.
